What began as a search... a search for a magnet that could be attached to me! To hold on to things like fishing flies, and more...

I checked stores and on-line. Over and over. What I wanted didn’t exist. Even friends of mine looked. I was very surprised... Something like this surely exists, doesn’t it?

So I’m now on a mission. Simple. I’ll make my own.

I brought home magnets, clips, materials, glues. I was even afraid I’d have to learn to sew. As strange as it seems, I struggled finding a good recipe.

The clip. I wanted simple. I could not find what I wanted. Then it hit me. Kydex. I’ll just make my own. Then there’s Neodymium. Strong stuff. I soon learned that I needed the strongest of the strong magnets: N52.

I’ll jump ahead and skip all the trial and error. I’ll even spare you the whining that these are tedious and time consuming to make. But I ended up with something that I really felt others would like. Turns out, it works well.  Practical.  Functional.
